David Lamont Bell EdD is an assistant professor in the School of Education at Saint Xavier University, Chicago Illinois. His research interest includes diversity professional development of teachers. His recent publications include: “Barriers to teacher change” (Critical Issues in Teacher Education 2005), “The impact of a school uniform policy” (Journal of the Alliance of Black School Educators 2006). “Minimizing barriers in teacher diversity professional development”(Association of Teacher Educator Yearbook 2008).
