In today’s society, teachers must use a variety of strategies to reach all students when teaching
mathematics. Classrooms today have many diverse learners, and teachers must be equipped to teach
special education students, English Language Learners (ELL), and those served in inclusive classes.

be able to use teaching styles that adapt to students’ multiple intelligences. In order to teach to the
diverse learning styles, teachers must get to know their students on an individual level.
