ANCIENT INDIAN WISDOM FOR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT”

The educational evolution in ancient India was founded on Indian epistemological and philosophical traditions around 3rd century B. C. Different contemporary archaeological, historical, scriptural and scientific studies supports and validates our ancient scriptural wisdom, rich heritage and ancient cultural ethos that deserve integration with many of our present day discipline of studies. Basically, two educational systems Vedic and Buddhist were developed that aimed at training for completeness of life and in moulding of character of men and women. This system provides human being with purpose of life, curriculum of instruction, concrete methodology, and code of conduct to govern relationship of teacher and taught and the means of attaining discipline of body, mind and spirit for holistic development of mankind. The ancient educational centres were the fountain heads of Indian civilization and culture because of its contribution of knowledge in all branches of learning as well as social wellbeing and prosperity.
