Climate change is a global challenge that has no borders and to combat it requires coordinated work by all countries. Climate change increases the appearances of more violent weather phenomena, drought, fires, the death of animal and plant species feeding from rivers and lakes, the creation of climate refugees and destruction of the food chain and economic resources especially in Kodaikanal. Climate will keep changing, sometimes warm, sometimes cold, sometimes dry, sometimes wet, it has always been so and will always remain so. Science is convincing that the climate is changing across our planet and the change is largely due to human activities. The change is detectable in all components of the climate system. Warming at land & sea surface increase the ocean heat content retreat of land and sea ice, sea level rise, ocean codification and weather extremes, certain regions become wetter, while others dryer.
