Impact Of Varied Aerobics Training On Selected Health Related Fitness Variables Of Government College Boys

To achieve the purpose of the study forty five boys (N=45) students studying in the Alagappa Government Arts College ,Alagappapuram ,Karaikudi were selected as subjects at random and. The age of the selected subjects ranged between 19 to 22 years. They were divided into three equal groups of fifteen subjects each namely floor aerobic training group,4 inches aerobic training group and control group. Control group was not participated any special training programme. In the present study experimental group-I(n=15) underwent aerobic training on floor. Experimental group-II (n=15) underwent aerobic training on 4 inches bench for five session per week for eight weeks. Group III (n=15) acted as control group. Group-I and II underwent one hour aerobic training. The data were collected prior and immediately after the training programme on selected health fitness variable such as cardio respiratory endurance and muscular endurance. The cardio respiratory endurance was measured (Clarke and Clarke 1976) by cooper’s 12 minutes run/walk test. The muscular endurance was measured by ( Yuba 2010) Bent knee sit-ups test. The ANCOVA (Thomson and Nelson 1996 )was used as statistical tool. whenever the programmes F ratio for adjusted post test hoc test to determine the paired means difference The level of significant was fixed at 0.05 level of confidence. The result of the study reveals due to impact of eight weeks of floor aerobic training and 4 inches aerobic training on selected health fitness variables such as cardio respiratory endurance and muscular endurance of government college boys have significantly improved. However, 4 inches aerobic training was better than floor aerobic training in improving selected health fitness variables such as cardio respiratory endurance and muscular endurance.
