Food and beverage service sector is fastest growing industry in current trend and its play very vital role in growth of any tourist destination, so it is very important to find out that what factors tourist search in restaurant for dinning. The aim of this study is to identify the factor affecting tourist’s choice in selection of restaurants whether they like to dine in that restaurant which is located inside the hotel means hotel restaurant or standalone restaurant of Kumaon region of Uttrakhand. Both primary and secondary data were used to conduct this study. The self administered questionnaires having ten questions will be distributed to total 400 valid tourists those are dining in both types of restaurants in kumaon region of Uttrakhand. A structured questionnaire having five point scale, 1 having not important and 5 most important was used to conduct the survey. Data collection will be constructed through tables and charts that are useful in obtaining a more comprehensive result. In order to meet the study goals, factor analysis was conducted. Such analysis considered various factors impact related to food safety. In order to meet the study goals, factor analysis was conducted.
